Dear Springfield-region Republican leader (or media representative):

We will be in Springfield Saturday for a busy day of campaign activity.

I want

to invite Republican leaders and your committeemen to join us.

We are going to have a news conference at the State House Inn at 3:00 P.M. [A separate release will follow.] We are going to start “taking the wraps off” our media strategy to defeat Mark Kirk. Shhhhh.

There will be a “meet and greet” from 4-6:00 P.M. Refreshments will be served. This month we still have a time to be a little more casual. The race doesn’t become super-hectic until December. Anyone is welcome to stop by and chat. Just ask for “Andy Martin’s suite” at the State House Inn.

At 6:00 we head for a local Tea Party event from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.

You can forward this invitation to your committeemen. Or, if you prefer, send us your e-mail list and we will invite them directly. Just have them send us an e-mail confirming they are coming so the caterer will order enough food and beverages. 2:45 P.M. is our deadline to order food.

In the past, the Chicago Tribune has called me an “absolutely brilliant campaigner.” I have a reputation to live up to. We have an aggressive campaign planned through February 2nd.

Kirk may have the professional politicians supporting him; we have the People behind my campaign.
