Philadelphia-based law firm Anapol, Schwartz, Weiss, Cohan, Feldman & Smalley, P.C., recently joined forces with Columbus, Ohio-based law firm Clark, Perdue & List Co, LPA under a reciprocal of counsel agreement. The relationship marks the ongoing, regional expansion of Anapol Schwartz, which opened a Wheeling, W.Va. office earlier this year.

The firms have a history of working together

on major litigation involving catastrophic personal injury, dangerous drugs and defective medical devices. Most recently, Anapol Schwartz and Clark, Perdue & List represented more than 800 consumers who suffered heart attacks or strokes after taking Vioxx - Merck's blockbuster drug that was recalled in 2004.

"Formalizing the relationship between our law firms will allow us to provide a broader range of services to injured consumers in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions," says Sol Weiss, a shareholder with Anapol Schwartz. "This special alliance enables us to offer our clients access to the Ohio lawyers at Clark, Perdue & List, known for their high level trial skills."

In addition to catastrophic personal injury cases and mass torts, the firms handle class actions on behalf of defrauded investors, professionals and small businesses. Anapol Schwartz and Clark, Perdue & List have also represented state attorney generals in consumer fraud actions.

The combined resources of the firms include more than 30 attorneys and 100 support staff. The firms, which represent consumers in 30-plus states, have law offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey and West Virginia.

Founded in 1977, Anapol, Schwartz, Weiss, Cohan, Feldman & Smalley, P.C., is a personal injury firm with more than 25 attorneys and law offices in Philadelphia, Media, Reading and Harrisburg, Pa., as well as Cherry Hill, N.J. and Wheeling, W.Va. The firm has a multi-faceted practice with a tradition of excellence in pharmaceutical mass tort, medical device matters, toxic tort, class actions, products liability, workplace injury, professional negligence cases, automobile, investor claims and wrongful termination litigation.
