Dubai, 05, March, 2014: If you happen across a sleek boat on the ocean, which in an instant can be driven out of the water without the hassle of a ramp, it’s no accident. The Amphibious boat, launched at Dubai’s International Boat Show this week, is the first leisure Inboard Jet Amphibious boat from ASIS Boats, one of the foremost worldwide Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) manufacturers.
The amphibious range consists of motorised, retractable and steerable wheels, which at the push of a button can be lowered to allow for water to land transfer enabling enthusiasts to drive the boat to their waterfront property without the need for trailers. The all-terrain boat not only offers shallow water accessibility but also enables single-hand launch without the need for a ramp.
“This is technology that will have boating enthusiasts salivating,” said Roy Nouhra, president of ASIS Boats. “Imagine being able to drive your boat from your waterfront property straight into the ocean all by yourself. It’s efficient, convenient and hassle-free.”
“The UAE is currently ranked ninth among the world’s top ten yacht-building countries according to Show Boats International Global Order Book 2014. As one of the top ten countries in the world, we were looking to introduce a new concept to the region,” added Nouhra.
ASIS Boats, who specialises in manufacturing boats for the military and law enforcement, believes that the boating and recreational market is a rapidly growing industry in the UAE and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and sees huge growth potential for its RHIB boat in 2014.
“All of our boats are manufactured 100 percent in Dubai and then exported to countries around the world. We have a worldwide distribution and support network with headquarters in UAE, UK and USA,”added Nouhra.
