www.amerinet-gpo1.com/amerinet.aspx - Amerinet Inc. announced today that it has enhanced its menu of solutions designed to reduce high-dollar implant costs and improve quality of care. The enhancement is due to a new strategic partnership with Surgical Implant Services, or SIS, that extends the impact of its offerings relative to physician preference items for hospitals, surgery centers and physician group practices.

The agreement with SIS of Atlantic Beach, Fla., will enable physicians - through independent, locally owned physician companies (local specialty LLCs) established with SIS - to standardize implant usage, reduce costs to participating providers and monitor clinical outcomes.

"This new relationship with SIS will increase the options available to our members to address this key area in a time of rising OR costs," said Randall Walter, Amerinet's executive vice president of enterprise solutions and marketing. "We know there is a critical need as seen through the nationwide implementation of our Amerinet Clinical Advantage program, which has demonstrated real savings of up to 26 percent to hospital margins by aligning costs on cardiac devices and neurosurgical, spinal and orthopedic implants.

"Our program's collaborative approach has won the support of staff and enabled hospitals nationwide to save millions of dollars per year on these high-tech, high-price products and maintain a high quality of care for their patients. This partnership with SIS reaches out further to physicians who realize the cost control and quality benefits achieved through standardization and partnership."

John McGuire, president and chief executive officer of SIS, stressed the benefits extended to hospitals and their patients as a result of physician groups working with SIS and Amerinet.

"The objective of SIS is to provide hospital systems with competitive, predictable pricing at levels that are not attainable elsewhere in the market," McGuire said. "The SIS model also creates a sustainable, ethical and legal ancillary revenue source for physicians while making the best implant technology available to individual patients."
