Dr. Feldstein leads AmeriHealth Mercy's PerforMED program, which incorporates the best practices in intensive case management, disease management and
care coordination for Medicaid recipients across the nation.
Managed Healthcare Executive, a monthly magazine targeted to health care decision makers, named 28 Leaders in Disease Management who have "leveraged their knowledge and created clinical and financial value for members." The candidates were selected based on industry leadership, innovation and results-oriented data.
The magazine cited the AmeriHealth Mercy program that allows members with diabetes to transmit glucose levels via telephone to help ensure appropriate care. It also noted that AmeriHealth Mercy was the first national Medicaid HMO to earn the Disease Management Purchasing Consortium (DMPC) Savings Validity Certification.
Dr. Feldstein has been with AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies since 2006. Previously, he served as senior medical director for Aetna's Mid-Atlantic region. He is a fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine.
