American Sentinel University announced earlier today that it added four new members to its healthcare advisory board.
Dr. Valentina Gokenbach, Dr. Tim Porter-O'Grady, Roy Simpson and Dr. Nancy Marie Valentine will join the university's Healthcare Advisory Board. These accomplished individuals each bring over 30 years of clinical and business knowledge to this fast-growing, accredited online university.
The new Board Members include:
- Valentina Gokenbach, DM, MBA, RN - Gokenbach currently serves as vice president and chief nurse executive for William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Gokenbach has a true passion for leadership and has been in administrative health care positions for over 30 years.
- Tim Porter-O'Grady, DM, EdD, RN, FAAN - Porter-O'Grady is currently senior partner of an international healthcare consulting firm in Atlanta, specializing in health futures, organizational innovation, conflict and change, as well as health services delivery models. Porter-O'Grady has been involved in healthcare for 38 years and has held roles from staff nursing to senior executive in a variety of health settings.
- Nancy Marie Valentine, PhD, MPH, FNAP, RN, FAAN -Valentine is the Chief Nursing Officer for Main Line Health System. Her career spans more than 35 years and includes successful positions in clinical nursing, nursing and hospital administration, academics and research and in the development of nursing policy and practice on a national level.
- Roy Simpson, FNAP, RNC, FAAN - Simpson is vice president for nursing at Cerner Corporation, the leading supplier of healthcare information technology. With more than 600 published articles and presentations on nursing informatics and professional issues to his credit, he is an internationally known speaker with 30+ years experience and a contributor to numerous professional publications and editorial boards.
