- Gary L. Rainwater, President, Chairman, President and CEO of Ameren Corp. (NYSE:AEE) will join Warner L. Baxter, President and CEO of Ameren Services and CFO of Ameren Corp., to discuss first-quarter 2008 financial results and other matters related to the company in a conference call with financial analysts on Friday, Aug. 1, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (9:00 a.m.

Central Time).

The call will be broadcast live over the Internet at www.ameren.com. Supporting materials for the call will also be posted in the Investors/Presentations area of Ameren's Web site. A replay of the Webcast will be available by from approximately one hour after the call for one year.

With assets of approximately $21 billion, Ameren serves about 2.4 million electric customers and almost one million natural gas customers in a 64,000 square mile area of Missouri and Illinois. Ameren owns a diverse mix of electric generating plants strategically located in its Midwest market with a generating capacity of more than 16,400 megawatts.
