Amanda Melvin, student and photographer, is being honored today at Brooks Museum in Memphis, Tennessee.
Amanda T. Melvin, student and photographer, is being honored today at the Brooks Museum of Art in Memphis, Tennessee. Amanda is a Sophomore at Saint Benedict at Auburndale High School where she serves as the Photography Club President. She works primarily in digital format, but is being honored today for a self-printed, medium-format black and white landscape taken near Shelby Farms Municipal Park in East Memphis. Her work being honored today was taken with a vintage Nikon F1 as part of an assignment for her advanced photography class at Saint Benedict of Auburndale. Amanda is the daughter of Russell Melvin and Suzanne Melvin, both of whom are accomplished photographers in their own right. Amanda's work can be seen at fine
