Algebraix Data Corporation today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded the company patent number 7,797,319 for systems and methods for data storage and retrieval using data-model mapping and 7,877,370 for systems and methods for data storage and retrieval using algebraic relations.

Patent number 7,797,319 covers the methodology that enables ALGEBRAIX® technology to store and access data using data-model mapping between different schemas and data models. This methodology enables ALGEBRAIX technology to manipulate data sets corresponding to different schemas and models within the same data store.

Patent number 7,877,370 covers the methodology that enables ALGEBRAIX technology to store and access data using algebraic relations. This methodology enables ALGEBRAIX technology to query data sets using algebraic relations by creating algebraic

relations between data sets and creating new data sets and new algebraic relations to optimize access to existing data sets.

Systems and methods for data storage and retrieval using algebraic relations are key competitive differentiators between ALGEBRAIX technology and conventional data-management systems.
