AIG Recognizes the First ''Scholarship for Success'' Recipients in New York

- American International Group, Inc. (AIG) recognized the first "AIG Scholarship for Success" recipients at a reception held last Thursday at AIG's 70 Pine Street headquarters in New York City.

The AIG Scholarship for Success Program was established to attract talented employees of diverse backgrounds to AIG. The ten 2007 AIG Scholarship for Success recipients receive full annual tuition

and fees (minus federal and New York State tuition grants), plus a book allowance. The scholarships may be renewed for one year or until undergraduate degree requirements are completed. Recipients are also eligible to participate in an AIG summer internship program between the junior and senior year of college.

Recipients were selected from two participating City University of New York colleges, Baruch College and John Jay College of Criminal Justice, from second- and third- year undergraduates with a 3.0 grade point average and an interest in pursuing a career in the financial or insurance industries.
