- Aegis Technologies, Inc., a leader in cyber security systems for utilities and other infrastructure industries, announced today it appointed Larry B. Hagewood as president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Hagewood's career spans more than 25 years in software and systems, including significant experience serving utilities and other industrial infrastructure businesses. Most recently, he was president and chief executive

officer of SPL WorldGroup, a software company focused on specific areas of global utility operations.

Joining SPL in September 2005, Mr. Hagewood more than doubled its revenues to over $200 million. In October 2007, Oracle Corporation acquired SPL, and he remained with Oracle as a senior vice president until earlier this year, supervising SPL's post-acquisition activities to ensure a smooth transition. In his new assignment, Mr. Hagewood succeeds Robert T. Sill who founded the company in 2002, and will continue as a valued member of the Aegis Board of Directors.

"Larry Hagewood's track record with the technology and markets important to Aegis' business make him particularly well suited to move the company to the next level of achievement," said John Finn senior member of the Aegis Board.

Mr. Hagewood added, "This is vital work that will help our country protect its critical infrastructure from cyber destruction. Working with and expanding our experienced technical and management team, I'm confident Aegis' offerings in technology and know-how will enable us to become a significant provider of cyber security products and services to utilities. We are committed to doing so in collaborative ways that help our customers cope with the changing regulatory landscape and NERC compliance, while protecting them and their customers from the cyber threats that are of growing industrial and public concern."

About Larry Hagewood

Before growing and leading SPL to and through its acquisition by Oracle, Mr. Hagewood spent more than three years as president and CEO of n2n Technologies, which provides middleware for mid-size to large enterprises needing to consolidate enterprise software applications. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of Mincom, an enterprise resource planning company based in Australia. Earlier in his career, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Tava Technologies, group vice president of Elsag Bailey Systems Group, a global supplier of process control systems to the utility industry, and president and CEO of Paragon Consulting. A 1976 graduate of Auburn University, he holds a bachelor of science degree in nuclear physics and studied international finance at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and global marketing at Stanford University.
