AECOM awarded $10-million U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract

AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it has been awarded a five-year, $10-million contract for hydraulic, hydrologic and environmental engineering design services by the United States Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) Portland, Oregon, District.

AECOM experts will perform technical studies and design analyses for spillways, outlet works, power facilities, canals, navigation locks, navigation channels, and harbor and coastal projects, plus perform site assessments and investigation of water and sediment quality.

AECOM’s hydraulic, hydrologic and coastal marine engineering practice provides services for projects such as hydraulic water-quality design and fish-passage facilities at dams throughout the U.S. Pacific Northwest, a coral reef restoration project in Hawaii, and a storm surge barrier modeling and design project in New Orleans.
