has hired Roy Wu as manager of physician services. In this position, Wu will direct physician recruiting, physician relations and physician contracting for Adventist Medical Center. Wu’s appointment follows Michael Davis’ anticipated retirement from the position.

recruit and support Adventist Health’s exceptional team of physicians,” said David Russell, vice president of Adventist Medical Center. “Roy has tremendous healthcare experience and will be an asset to our team.”
Wu brings more than 10 years of healthcare, education, and philanthropy experience to Adventist Medical Center. Prior to joining the hospital, Wu served as the physician recruiter and executive director of enrollment management at Loma Linda University Health Care in Southern California. While at Loma Linda, Wu was responsible for coordinating centralized marketing and recruitment efforts for eight different schools within the University.
“It is a tremendous honor to be part of the Adventist Health staff. I look forward to collaborating with the nearly 500 physicians on our medical staff,” said Wu. “Our physicians have a long tradition of providing whole-patient care to the greater Portland community and beyond. The practice of medicine is a life-long service which I will work to support through AMC physicians.”
Wu is an active member of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) and played a key role in establishing Academic In-house Recruiters (AIR), a network of recruiters representing academic training centers and teaching hospitals. He also holds credentials as a certified medical staff recruiter from the American Academy of Management.
Wu graduated from Columbia Union College with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications and public relations and is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration from Loma Linda University School of Public Health. Wu and his family reside in Portland, Ore.
