ADVANCED LIGHTING TECHNOLOGIES, INC. TO RELEASE

                       DECEMBER 2012 QUARTER-END RESULTS

Solon, OH February 8, 2013 - Advanced Lighting Technologies, Inc. ("ADLT")
announced today that it will release its financial results for the three and
nine months ended December 31, 2012  on February 13, 2013.  ADLT will hold its
earnings conference call for the three and nine months ended December 31, 2012
at 11:00 AM (ET) on February 13, 2013.

The dial-in information for the earnings call is available on the password
protected investor relations portion of ADLT's website at  www.adlt.com.

During the conference call, representatives of ADLT may discuss and answer one
or more questions concerning   ADLT's business and financial matters. The
responses to these questions, as well as other matters discussed during the
call, may contain information that has not been previously disclosed.

ADLT will post its quarterly report for the three and nine months ended December
31, 2012 on the password protected investor relations portion of ADLT's website
on February 8, 2013. The quarterly report is being furnished pursuant to the
Indenture governing the 10.50% Senior Notes due 2019 issued by ADLT.
