14 November 2012 – Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced), a market leading business applications and services provider, has scooped a Silver Green Apple Award for the environmental benefits of its Carbon Accounting system. Advanced received the award from dog rescue charity, K-9 Angels, during a ceremony at the House of Commons on 12 November 2012. This is the fifth Green Apple for Advanced.
The Green Apple Awards run by independent environment group, The Green Organisation, honour companies that demonstrate environmental best practice. The awards are well established as being one of the most influential environmental award schemes worldwide.
Simon Fowler, Managing Director of Advanced Business Solutions (Commercial) says, “It is rewarding to have achieved this accolade for the fifth year running,
demonstrating our commitment to developing software systems that provide organisations with both environmental and business benefits.”
Advanced’s Carbon Accounting, which integrates with Advanced's OpenAccounts finance system, is one of the most comprehensive carbon accounting products on the market.
Using Carbon Accounting, carbon emissions data is automatically recorded in general ledger and relevant project leaders, providing green insight transparency whilst cutting time-consuming manual processing.
