Former GUNS N' ROSES drummer STEVEN ADLER has apologised to his replaceme nt MATT SORUM for criticising his percussion skills.
The musician was kicked out of the band in 1989 amid rumours his drug u se was hampering his performance, and
former The Cult star Sorum was brou ght in to take over.
Adler recently launched into a bitter rant about Sorum's musical abilit y in an interview with Ultimate-Guitar.com, telling the website, "His wer e just half-a**ed, cr**py versions. Nothing personal against the guy, but he's like a goddamn drum machine. He's got no heart; he's got no soul; h e's got no feel. And as life and the years have shown obviously I'm not t he easiest drummer to replace." But the rocker is now sorry for his comments and used an appearance on TV talk show Good Day L.A. on Monday (30Aug10) to make amends.
He said, "I need to apologise to Matt Sorum. I'm sorry about what I sai d in those interviews. The words just came out wrong. I think you're amaz ing and I love you, man. Sorry about that."
