Employees at Jaguar Land Rover have been driving forward their business knowledge - with great success.
Based at the carmaker’s Midlands sites, employees have successfully completed a 12 week organisation development programme designed to enhance their knowledge of key business areas, such as strategy, decision making and financial awareness.
The business acumen programme was designed and delivered by organisation development experts Acua Limited and tailored specifically to meet Jaguar Land Rover requirements. Blended learning approaches applied by
Acua’s business coaches involved one-to-one sessions, group work and independent study with work place support throughout the duration of the programme.
It is the first time Jaguar Land Rover employees have taken advantage of this particular business improvement opportunity, and allowed participants to complete relevant work based projects that would develop their understanding of both strategy and financial implications.
Acua business coach Estelle Stinton was impressed with the application shown by those taking part at Jaguar Land Rover’s Whitley, Castle Bromwich, Solihull and Gaydon sites during her time based within the company.
She said: “The modules were designed to provide participants with an understanding of overall strategies and key financial concepts within Jaguar Land Rover and focused on aspects such as, maximising cost efficiencies and general efficiency and effectiveness which were highlighted during their project work.
“It was really pleasing to see everyone getting so involved in the programme, and we have had some excellent feedback from the participants.”
Using the expertise of its business coaches, Acua specialises in tailored work based business improvement solutions specific to current challenges facing businesses.
