CHICAGO, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- AbelsonTaylor, the world's largest independent advertising agency in the healthcare field and long regarded as one of the most creative, has won 57 honors in recent national and global ad competitions, including 14 awards for campaign materials supporting the sleep drug Rozerem.

The 26-year-old agency won a Global Award for Rozerem in the category of exhibit booth design, a gold Rx Club Award in the category of master sales aids, a silver World Wide Web (WWW) Health Award for the Rozerem Web site, and two

DTC National Advertising bronze awards for most innovative campaign and best new brand of the year.

The agency also won a Pharmaceutical Executive Ad Stars Award for a Rozerem TV ad co-created with Cramer-Krasselt and special recognition for co- developing one of the most "intriguing icons" of 2007 -- the Rozerem beaver featured in the ad. Additionally, AbelsonTaylor won finalist certificates for Rozerem entries in three other Global Award categories and five other Rx Club Award categories.

The winning creative concept of AbelsonTaylor's professional Rozerem campaign uses two contrasting images of a sleeping woman to convey the fact that Rozerem, manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceuticals, is the first approved sleep drug with no addictive effects. In the first image, the woman is sleeping under a stormy sky and a schedule IV symbol (the classification for drugs demonstrating a potential for abuse), illustrating the risk of some other approved sleep drugs. In the second image, the woman is sleeping within a large zero under a clear sky, communicating the point that Rozerem has no risk for abuse.

AbelsonTaylor's record of wins also includes 12 awards and 31 finalist honors for other client work. In the Aurora Awards, the agency won platinum Best of Show honors for a video supporting a diabetes drug and a gold award for a mechanism-of-action DVD for an oncology product. The same DVD won a gold In-Awe Award and an award of excellence from the Videographer Awards.

AbelsonTaylor also won a gold PMT (Product Management Today) Readers Choice award and a silver MM&M (Medical Marketing & Media) award for a journal ad supporting a drug for overactive bladder. Additionally, the agency won a silver Rx Club award for a campaign developed for an anemia product, a Pharmaceutical Executive Ad Stars award for a journal ad promoting a psoriasis treatment, and a Doctor's Choice award and bronze In-Awe award for, respectively, a seven-page journal ad and a global Web site created for a cancer drug.

The agency also won merit honors from the WWW Health Awards for a Web site supporting a brain tumor treatment and an honorable mention from the PMT Readers Choice awards for a journal ad for a diabetes product. The agency received finalist certificates in 24 other Rx Club Awards categories and seven other Global Awards categories.
