On June 6, 2008, Supervisory Board Chairman, Thomas Frank, and CEO Werner Strub reported on business developments at the Annual Shareholders' Meeting of ABAS Software AG. Growth in Sales Revenue, Sales Figures and Equity Capital
The year 2007 was another very successful year for ABAS Software AG in Karlsruhe, Germany. Sales revenue, sales figures and equity figures grew significantly as compared to the previous year. Income from software licenses played an especially large role in this growth. Abroad, ABAS posted growth of 13% as compared to 2006.
Overall performance by this Karlsruhe software provider went up by 10.8% to EUR 10.142 million. The operating result was EUR 796,000 resulting in ABAS having posted a profit every year for the past 14 years, also making it possible to increase equity by 8% to EUR 4.006 million in 2007. The equity share of total assets is now a proud 74%. Thanks to its excellent liquidity ABAS is financially independent and finances itself using its own resources. The Shareholders' Meeting unanimously approved the actions of the Managing Board and the Supervisory Board for the year 2007. The Shareholders' Meeting approved the distribution of a dividend of 16% on common shares and 20% on preferred shares.
