Due to impending changes in how the Federal Reserve couriers return items, which is expected to drastically delay delivery, Abacus needed to transition from receiving paper return items from the Fed to printing their own IRDs. It was critical that items be delivered early each day to avoid potential losses due to holds expiring on deposited checks that were subsequently returned.
