Detroit, MI, September 26, 2012 - American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, Inc.
(AAM), which is publicly traded as AXL on the NYSE, today announced that it is
now manufacturing and assembling transfer cases for Jaguar Land Rover.
"AAM is pleased to launch our relationship with Jaguar Land Rover in Europe,
supporting its vehicle program requirements with our global engineering and
manufacturing expertise," stated AAM President - Europe Steven J. Proctor. "By
taking a premium 4x4 light vehicle product and manufacturing it in our Glasgow,
Scotland facility, AAM is bringing new jobs to the region and further
diversifying our business."
AAM and Jaguar Land Rover collaborated on the manufacturing of the proven design
of the transfer case that is featured in the iconic Land Rover Defender. Start
of regular production began in
August at AAM's Glasgow Manufacturing Facility in
Scotstoun, Glasgow, Scotland.
