Flu season officially begins this month, and many kids are already sneezing and coughing their way home from school early. While health officials can guide parents about how to care for their sick children, they cannot help with another pressing issue on most parents’ minds – “how am I going to entertain my sick child for an entire week at

home?”


Every parent knows that the hardest time for a sick child is when he or she is recuperating from an illness and is still too ill for contact with other children, but is well enough to feel bored and frustrated.

Supplies.

- Peel & Stick Foam Sheets, Creative Hands®
- Foam Circles, Creative Hands
- Self-Stick Foam Letters, Creative Hands
- Write-on-Foam Markers™, Creative Hands
- Foam Zone™ License Plate, Nicole Crafts™
- Velcro®


Directions.

1. Spell out your name plus the word “is” with foam letters and place on License Plate Hanger.

2. Make a list of “faces” or words to describe how you are feeling or what you are doing!



- Happy
- Sad
- Mad
- Sick
- Sleeping
- Studying
- Laughing
- Busy


3. Decorate the Circles with the following choices.

a. Draw the face with markers; add glitter glue, rhinestones, stickers!


b. Cut out foam faces, shapes, etc. and glue to foam circles


c. Use letters to spell out words


4. Place Velcro strips on the back of each circle. Place the opposite side of one of the Velcro strips left of center on the front of your license plate, where you would want to hang your descriptive circles.

5. Hang on your door and let everyone know what you’re doing and how you’re feeling!
