February 4, 2014: GiveIndia has launched a new Facebook campaign that converts every new Like on its Facebook page to a mid day meal for an underprivileged child. An anonymous donor has generously agreed to sponsor a mid day meal for a month through Akshaya Patra foundation for every Like that GiveIndia receives till Friday, February 7, 2014.
GiveIndia has already received 150 likes in just 3 days and is aiming for 10,000 news likes till Friday. So go on and do your bit, hit Like on www.facebook.com/GiveIndia and make a difference.
GiveIndia is a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to helping people support a cause of their choice from approximately 150 NGOs.
It's a "philanthropy exchange" that does a thorough due diligence on NGOs of a wide range of causes (viz. children, education, environment, health, human rights, employment, disability, elderly, women, and youth) and lists them on www.GiveIndia.org for the public to choose and donate to. Founded by Venkat Krishnan N in 2000, GiveIndia was launched with a mission to create a culture of giving in India.
