2009-08-28 07:08:26 - “Mela’s Miracle” The Ashalond Daniel Foundation will sponsor “A Blessed Night of Fellowship” Benefit Program on Saturday, September 12th 2009, at the Link Centre (1800 West Main Street Tupelo, MS). The program will be hosted by Stan Allen and Shundria Mabry.

Verona, MS - - On Saturday, September 12th 2009, “Mela’s Miracle” The Ashalond Daniel Foundation will sponsor “A Blessed Night of Fellowship” Benefit Program at the Link Centre (1800 West Main Street Tupelo, MS) beginning at 6:00 pm.

“A Blessed Night of Fellowship” will be hosted by WESE 92 JAMZ radio personality, Stan Allen and Palestine United Methodist Church (of Nettleton,

MS) Youth Coordinator, Shundria Mabry. The program will feature scripture readings from various Pastors, songs of praise from church choirs, singing groups and soloists, in addition to drill team performances, dramatization, etc.

Earlier this year, Ashalond Daniel, aka Mela, 29, was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disease, Severe Aplastic Anemia. On August 12th 2009, with no match in the National Marrow Donor Program’s Registry, the University of Mississippi graduate returned to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD and underwent four days of High-Dose Cyclophosphamide (Chemotherapy) treatments.

At the present moment, Ashalond is under the care of specialists, at a residence near Johns Hopkins. Post care observation and treatment is requiring her to stay in Baltimore for approximately three months. Therefore, “A Blessed Night of Fellowship” is a continuation of the foundation’s “Sponsor a Night in Baltimore” Campaign, which was launched last month. The primary basis of the campaign is to help Ashalond with the high cost of health care procedures, treatments, and post care observation. The campaign goal is to raise $10,000.00.
